I am so excited about this coming year!  As a parent myself, I have reveled in watching my girls thrive throughout their education. I love to watch as their minds expand and they become critical thinkers, entering (how did this happen?!) young adulthood.  Now, I am grateful and honored to be your child’s teacher…let’s work together to keep them engaged and always thriving.

 

About myself: 

 I am a proud Seattle native and live in the Green Lake neighborhood. I am embarking on a second career and taking all of my life experience into the classroom. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science (nutrition) from Seattle Pacific University, and more recently I earned my Master's in Education from Western Governor’s University. I spent the past 20 years with Microsoft: marketing, event management, project management, and creating educational classes for the Microsoft stores. My husband Mark and I have raised twin girls who are heading to HS this year – whew! Our family of 4 also includes 3 pups (yes, three!); two Golden Retrievers (Jambo and Joy), and the newest addition (covid pup), Carl the Corgi.  We are a busy family with volleyball, dance, skiing, and lots of travel!

 

Favorites: 

 Favorite Hobbies: Reading, yoga ( I am a certified instructor), hanging with our pups, and loads of family time!

Favorite Books: Reese’s Book Club keeps me busy reading!

Favorite Travel Destinations: Africa (I climbed Kilimanjaro), Amsterdam, Copenhagen – and Japan up next!

Favorite Food & Beverage: Black coffee and green tea, Thai and anything Italian!
