Ward, Austin (Music)
Hello! My name is Austin Ward and I am a Music Specialist at Northwood Elementary School!
This is my fourth year at Northwood but my eighth year teaching music. Before Northwood, I taught Elementary Music for four years in Tennessee. I have a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Instructional Technology.
While I typically play the guitar and piano in the classroom, I am primarily a saxophone player with a lot of experience performing a variety of music from jazz and rock to classical. I also dabble in electronic music production as a hobby.
Outside of music, I enjoy reading, board games, and hiking. I am happily married and we have two cats.
