Northwood Hosting Tours For Prospective Families February 26 and March 28
Mercer Island, WA, January 9, 2025 – Northwood Elementary School will be hosting school tours on Wednesday, February 26 and Friday, March 28. The tours will take place from 10am-11am.
The purpose of the tours is to give prospective families, either on Mercer Island or off, a chance to visit the school on a typical school day.
Community members interested in visiting one of the schools will need to wait outside the main school entrance at 10am to be let into the school by a school staff member.

On April 2, first graders at Northwood Elementary had an out of this world experience when the Museum of Flight’s portable planetarium visited the school through a grant from the Mercer Island Schools Foundation.
Marisa LeVeque and Victoria Vermiglio’s fifth grade classes at Northwood Elementary received a special presentation called Skeletons and Skulls from Nature Vision on Friday, March 29 courtesy of a grant from the Mercer Island Schools Foundation (MISF).
The Northwood Student Council led the school’s first Belonging Assembly of the year Wednesday morning.
The Northwood Elementary Adaptive Music and PE classes are grateful for a generous grant from the Mercer Island Schools Foundation (MISF) for pentatonic xylophones, Joia tube instruments, and adaptive bowling balls.
